How great is this bed?! I love seeing whimsical design elements applied in creative ways. Not only would the tree ladder be a fun climb for the kiddos, but the branches serve as safety rails for the top bunk. (Though it looks like that space here is used for play rather than sleeping.)

Brad and I were watching Extreme Home Makeover the other day on Hulu and caught the episode where they rebuilt the boys’ dorms for the Oregon School for the Deaf. One of the boys’ dorm rooms had a triangle mural on the wall that totally caught my attention. Oh, WOW! It was fantastic! I wanted to re-watch that segment over and over. In fact, I loved the whole room. (Check out the crate beds!) I’d love to recreate this room for my boys. I wish ABC had provided more pictures of this room. If you haven’t already seen it, you should check out the episode while it’s still available online.

I love creative setups like this for childrens rooms. This room is shared by three kids in a small Paris apartment featured in Marie Claire Maison. The parents built the bed themselves and created separate areas sleeping, storage and play. I wish there were more pictures of this room!

This is such a cute and simple Ikea hack. Using a Vikare bed (painted white) and her custom cut black vinyl decals, Anna created a sleek and modern little Jeep bed for her son. I think it’s darling! I’m also loving the simplistic design of the room. Black + white with pops of yellow? YUM!
